You have to give yourself time to get to know them before even introducing them to your children. And then time after that for you to see how they do with your children and see where he'd fit into your life. And then a while after that to be positive he's who you want before moving your family in with him

I would say 1.5 - 2 years. I have two children from a previous marriage and have been with my current SO 2.5 years and we are just now discussing all of us sharing a home.

To me it very much depends on the situation. On whether they have similar parenting styles, whether the kids get along, whether each adult gets along with and cares for the other ones child/children, if they have a clear understanding of each other’s finances and work/life balance and what you need from each other to make it work. It takes some people years to figure this all out in a healthy way and others it only takes months.

It just depends on what is right for you. I had a daughter that was 1.5 years old and my husband had a 4 year old that didn’t live with him. We moved in early at 3 months. Got married at 6 months. The rest is history💕💕 feels like a lifetime ago.
