Rabies!? Extremely scared teen!

Question

I just randomly noticed this on my hand and have no idea how it got there or when it got there. Im so terrified that its a bat scratch/puncture wound from its claws or a bat bite!
Im just so scared of rabies! Please help!

What is this!? 
I do have a ferret that I handle but her claws are always clipped!
Im terrified of rabies and having a complete break down PLEASE HELP

It looks like a bug bite. Rabies is extremely rare, and first you’d need to be bit by a rabid animal. You’d know if you were bit by a bat or other wild, rabid animal.

Looks like a mosquito bite. If it were rabies you would have fever and more heat in the area. Also you would have to have been bitten by a bat or other contaminated animal. Im sure you would notice if they were rabid because they foam at the mouth, etc.

First bat bite is two fang marks.
Second, it’s very rare and 
Third you would notice a bat bumping into you.

First off you really need to calm down! You do not have rabies. You would know if an animal attacked you. BATS ARE NOT THAT SMALL!! And the chances of you encountering one during day are very slim. This looks like a mosquito bite.

That looks like a big bite. You would certainly notice if a bat bit you. And you should be worried about the ferret provided you care for it appropriately and it has its vaccines. Even if it doesn’t, unless it’s a wild ferret that lives outside, you’re fine.
