Family lip-kissing a baby/toddler...

So my Husbands family kisses our niece (3) on the lips. Has since she was born and my BIL doesn’t care, I think he encouraged it. I think it’s incredibly freakin weird to have your child kiss adults on the lips- even family. When my niece tries to lip kiss me I always go to the cheek. Idk why, I just hate it and I told my husband yesterday that NO ONE will be kissing our child on the lips. At first I said not even us, but then I compromised and said it’s fine for us until our child is like 4/5, then no. I would prefer not though.

Maybe it’s my past trauma that makes me so uncomfortable with it. Idk.

My husband just said he agrees, he finds it odd too, but then just said “good luck telling my grandma not to kiss him/her.”

Umm what?! No! I will be a bitch straight up about it if they can’t respect us asking nicely.

Does anyone else think it’s weird?? Or is it just me??
