How long did you wait after you had your baby to begin trying again?

I’m 27 we just had our daughter in april it was a very longer journey to have her. I lost our first baby when I was 23 due to incompetent cervix 2016..got pregnant lost next baby due to chromosomal abnormalities at 9weeks 2017 then had infertility for 2 years first month off clomid I finally got pregnant an had my sweet Hazel April 2020. I would love 3-4 children close in age. My siblings an I are really spread apart 9 an 16 years apart. I love my siblings but sometimes feel more like a mom or aunt too then. I want my kids to be close an enjoy growing up together. 
Hubby an I are thinking about starting to try in December if we Conceive by luck hazel will be 1.5 years old before that baby arrives. But if it takes awhile like it did to conceive her she will still be somewhat close in age too them. Is this too soon? How far apart are your children? Thanks for advice!

If you want your kids that close, have them that close! Don’t listen to hate about being pregnant one right after the other. I’m 11 months apart from my sister and we grew up best friends! I want all of my kids close in age as well, still ttc number one!

Talk with your doctor. If you struggled to conceive you might need help again and a doctor might have some advice and feedback about how soon is too soon with the extra hormonal drugs. Good luck and I'm sorry for your losses.

I waited til my son was a little past 2 to get pregnant. For me, anything closer than 3 yrs was too close. That doesn’t apply to everyone, however.

Not hating but I will have 2 under 2 when this one is born and it has BEEN SO HARD ON MY BODY 😭😭 truly I am miserable but if you are willing to deal then do it! But back to back pregnancies has not been pleasant in my experience. Just being honest 😭 #backandbodyhurts #everythinghurts

I had a miscarriage before our first and ended up waiting 3 years to try again. I got pregnant first try with our daughter and we tried again when she was 13m. I thankfully got pregnant first try again but I didn’t want to wait too long in case we had any issues. Our kids will be 22m apart when baby gets here.

My kids will be almost exactly 2 years apart. Had my daughter in august 2018 and my son is due this month. I feel like my daughter is at the perfect age for a new baby. She’s a bit independent and can entertain herself, etc. I’m sure it would have been okay a few months ago too, but any earlier I think would be a struggle.

I'm 27 y/o too, my husband however will be 42 soon.
It took us 2 full years to conceive this one and if we go for a second (going to decide 100% after having gone through childbirth and first few months of newborn and diapers) we want them to be close in age. So even though I know medically it's not ideal.. We'll be ttc a couple of months after this one is out (after sex clearance obviously)

The decision of when to start trying is up to you, your partner, and your doctor. I will tell you that I struggled with infertility and eventually conceived on Clomid with my first pregnancy. I expected a long journey to conceive my 2nd and actually ended up pregnant 4 month after having my IUD removed. I couldn’t believe it! Just saying—you might get pregnant much more quickly this time around!

So the recommendation, in the past, has been 18 months between pregnancies, but it’s changed to a year. With your history, I’d wait at least a year.
