It’s completely fine to feel scared at first but, just remember that no matter what, there will be people to support you and you have to remember to love yourself too and not to be too hard on yourself

Being gay can be tough because there are a lot of people that dont accept it. It's a tough road. I'm (mostly) out and proud, but that doesnt mean my heart wasnt about to beat out of my chest when I told my parents. It's totally okay that you're scared, but I can also promise you that as you begin to embrace this part of you things get so much better.
Take your time figuring it out; theres not rush. Its also okay if you consider yourself straight but have had thoughts about the same gender. That's not uncommon.
It's awesome that you're exploring yourself enough to question it. That's part of growing.

Of course, it’s a scary world sometimes. Even though my sister already came out before me, so I knew my parents would be supportive I was still terrified to tell my mom. Sadly this isn’t an uncommon or unfounded fear. Homophobia is still extremely normalized and pervasive in our society. But, that doesn’t mean you should hide who you are because of it. Obviously if you are in danger do what will keep you safe, but for the most part if people want to be ignorant and homophobic fuck them and find people who love and accept you as you are. There are plenty of them out there. I hope one day we can all feel comfortable being 100% open and free but until then just try as best you can to fight the hate (or ignore it when it’s not worth fighting) and love who you love.
