Question

Took my son for his 9 month check up and the dr prescribed him vitamins with Fluoride. Not a huge fan of fluoride and don’t even use it on myself. He has 5 teeth and we brush with just water everyday.

I don’t see why a baby would need vitamins since they should be getting plenty of nutrients from breastmilk or formula. 
As for fluoride, it’s in our water and we use fluoride toothpaste. It’s recommended by the AAP but I say do your research and do what you feel is best!
And about the deet, that’s nuts. I don’t even use bug spray with deet for myself so I definitely wouldn’t use it on my infant.

To much fluoride will cause white spots that are permanent on babies teeth. I would call back and ask why he prescribed it

We haven’t used fluoride toothpaste in over a decade.
My 8 year old has never used it.
We use water filters that remove fluoride, as well.
We’ve never had cavities.
Fluoride is a neurotoxin, impairs development and I’m disheartened that the ADA and AAP still recommend it where there are literally hundreds of studies showing its toxicity. 😞
Avoid/limit sugar, eat healthy real foods and keep our teeth clean. 🤙🏼

Did you ask the doc when you were there why or the reasoning or alternatives if you weren't comfortable with it?? That would be my suggestion or else do what the doc says 🤷
