lightening a tattoo?

i know this is a dumb question but i’m going to ask it anyway. is there any way to “lighten” a tattoo? i got one done recently and because i don’t like to watch, the tattoo artist was like “how does it look” and it was freaking DARK. like way darker than i wanted. i showed up with a picture of what i wanted and needed a few little details added in and then the finished product was like 1/2 shaded🤣 i’ve been trying to convince myself for the last 2 weeks that it’s fine but i can’t stand it being so dark. so .... can i lighten it? will white ink cover it? idk i’m kind of making stuff up cause i really don’t be liking it. pic to show y’all how dark it is :
