Anyone had a C- section with another young child? If so how was the healing process?

I’m asking because my son is 5 and very active. I was hoping for a vbac but how things are going I’m not sure if it’s possible. Baby is not showing any signs of wanting to come out.

Yes. I would prepare as much as possible eg freezer meals, deli meat, bread, healthy snacks etc so you can not be doing meal preparation. Paper plates and plastic forks. Let him watch tv. It was basically like surviving for the first 2 weeks. Remind yourself that it's temporary and he will be fine.

I've had 5 c sections my kids are 12,9,6,3, and 5 months

Yes! I have a 4yr old who completely understands and he knows from me having his sister last year also. Now my 15month old, has no idea and she wants me to pick her up and will get upset when I can’t. However she does have two other people to go to when she wants held. So she’ll go to them. But she always doesn’t understand not to climb all over me. So that’s a little painful when her legs and elbows are digging I to me as she’s getting up on my lap to sit and snuggle. Plus I have a lot of sensitive skin from being so huge with the twins.

I just told my toddler (nearly 3) that I couldn’t pick her up while I had bandaids on my tummy. She was fine with it. We worked hard before baby was born though on getting her independent, climbing in and out of the car, bath, bed etc.

My daughter will be turning 2 next week and I’m scheduled for a csection in 7 weeks. No idea how it’s gonna work out but VBAC isn’t an option for me.
