First time with ovulation kit

Hi! I should of started my ovulation kit a few days ago but I’m new to this. 27-28 day cycle. On day 14. This was taken at 7:45 pm. This is negative right? Did I miss surge? Well we didn’t miss the surge just didn’t document. Anyways is this new?
