Are you getting a professional photographer for your baby’s 1st bday?

I’m considering it and just wondering what other mamas are doing! I haven’t gotten any professional pics done, like ever. But I’d love to have some really good smash cake photos of my LO and I’m not very confident in my own camera skills

I’ll have my MIL and SIL with their really nice cameras (they’re not professionals though), but we just did a smash cake/first birthday session with a real photographer a little early for invitations/announcements to send out. It was SO worth it! Here are some:

We just did family pictures around 10 months. 
My SO had vacation time approved... because of his job, it can be very hit or miss when that time gets approved or if he has to travel last minute so I can not always plan on him being around for her birthday. 
So we went to the mountains a couple hours from where we live. It just happened that the photographer who took my LOs newborn photos moved to that town, so we were able to book her again. 
For her actual birthday, I’ll dress her up and take pictures on my phone 😆 
We did our Christmas photos on an iPhone and we got so many compliments, so I’m sure it will work out.

We got professional pictures scheduled a week before his birthday. We never got maternity or newborn so wanted to have some nice ones done for his big ONE

I’m going to take them myself on my
iPhone on self portrait mode. I bought a backdrop props & outfits on amazon for all under $50. We took our own 
maternity photos & Christmas photos and edited them myself so I feel somewhat confident

Yes! We never did any maternity or newborn photos, and I'm sort of regretting it. So I think we are going to get some family photos for his first birthday and a cake smash 😊

Nope. I’d like to but we have a maternity/family photoshoot coming up in October and I’m planning to get lots of great professional pics of him then!
