Did anyone have this on their ultrasound and all was good?

Question

Had anatomy scan today and they saw a bright spot on heart. She said in isolation it’s not too concerning. But recommended blood test to confirm it’s not Down syndrome. Please help me out with any experience with this.

Yes my daughter and niece both had it. In the case of my daughter we were told it is considered a ‘soft marker’. If baby has multiple soft markers it can be an indication of downs. Or if they have a soft marker mixed with hard markers (hard markers are very prevalent in downs) they would suggest further testing. Our doctor did offer testing to us but she was very confidant that because my daughter had an isolated EIF, that baby was most likely fine. And sure enough, everything was completely normal. She just turned 2 in May. If you research, you will learn that the bright spot is actually fairly common in healthy pregnancies and goes away usually before baby is even born. If I remember correctly, it’s a calcium build up which is why it shows white or bright on ultrasound.

My baby had 3 spots on her heart at my 20 week ultrasound. Went back 3 weeks later and they still saw the spots so they sent me to MFM where they never saw any spots. Not sure if she actually had spots on her heart or if my regular OB was just seeing things? Everything has been going good! Currently 30 weeks and I’ll have a growth scan at 32 and 36 weeks, but for different reasons!

Yes, my sons ultrasound showed it. They told us it is usually associated with Down syndrome, I had gotta blood work done and the genetic testing showed there was very little chance of it. Anyways, I got another ultrasound at 30 weeks for other reasons and they still saw it. When he was born, nothing was wrong at all. They said it could just be the machine, ultrasound sometimes have a tendency to show things like that according to my doctor. Like I said, he was perfectly fine and the doctor never wanted another ultrasound for that particular reason, she wasn’t worried at all. I would worry too much
