Formula recommendations due to breastfeeding issues

Angie

Quick back story- I just had my son via csection on Monday. I am an extremely petite 5”0, 118lb woman and well my son was born 9lbs. I was breastfeeding him, which was my initial goal, but by day two, he lost a big chunk of his weight and his blood sugar was dropping to a dangerously low level. Needless to say, I was barely producing enough milk and the lactation consultant even stated I barely have any milk coming in but to start pumping to activate my milk to come in.

In the meantime, the pediatrician has given us Neosure and it’s done nothing but make my pleasant, easygoing baby fussy with gas issues. I plan on changing that formula as soon as I get out of the hospital because it’s obviously not going to work and I need to supplement with a formula until I am making enough breast milk. Is there a particular brand that is recommended that as personally worked for you guys? I was looking at Similac Pro-Total comfort or Enfamil Gentlease. With my previous children, I’ve only given Similac, so I could use some advice.
