How often do you breastfeed?

This question is specifically for moms of 2 month olds who are exclusively breastfeeding. My baby is hungry every 2 hours like clockwork during the day/when he’s not sleeping. Right at 2 hrs I feel the electricity of my let down. How often do you feed if still doing on demand? My husband thinks we should try to stretch our son longer and I don’t agree, especially when our son cries and my boobs tingle in tandem! What other signs do we need from nature than that?!?
