Do you save bday or Christmas presents given to your kids for a later time?

I do because sometimes there's just too many toys at one time. I realized how many toys I've saved over the past few years because I had forgotten about them LOL. It's gonna be Christmas this month hahaha

No lol if there is too many then he just opens them later on in the day

We limit how many gifts our child gets for bdays/xmas so we never have that issue. We saw the crazy huge amounts of gifts/toys some of our friends and families kids got and didn't want that so our kid gets 1 gift from each family/couple. If they want to do more or cousins or whatever wanna give gifts we ask for books instead of toys. But our kid get 5ish gift on xmas and 5-10 on bday depending on what family comes.

We have before.
My mother in law used to go overboard with gifts.
So we would take some of the wrapped presents and hide them for another holiday 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

My husbands family tends to buy gifts geared towards an age that is older then my kids. So I'll put the ones that are not quite ready to be appropriately used in the closet until they are ready.  For instance, my sons 1st Christmas he got a strider bike. Really awesome gift, just wasn't usable for about another year.  I wouldn't save any for later if they were age appropriate though.  As a kid, playing with all of your presents is the best part of a birthday/holiday!

Yup but more with things that may not be age appropriate or if there were just to many similar things.

We unwrap them all but then we tuck some away for later. Oftentimes he’s a bit too little still for some of them and he won’t play with them all at once anyway and we don’t have the space. This last birthday was the most we unpackaged at once because it was a lot outdoor toys, so they live in the garage.
