What should I expect from fiest OB/GYN visit?

Hi ladies,
What should I expect from first OB on 8 week pregnancy exam? 
Is it typical for OB’s schedule first visit around 8 weeks?
How should I confirm pregnancy other than home urine test?

They will do a urine test when you get there. Mostly I just remember peeing in a cup while I waited, they do a couple little tests with it, and for mine they did a transvaginal ultrasound for my first one since baby is so tiny. I think I was just under 8 weeks at that point.

Paperwork, vitals, urine, then talk with dr. 
Some drs will do a Pap smear if you hadn’t had one, some will wait a bit before doing it when you’re further along. 
An ultrasound (depending on your office) & maybe blood work. 
At both my pregnancies first appt, I got seen about 6-8 weeks & had my urine, blood, ultrasound then papsmear.
