How did you know how many kids were right for your family?

Please let me know down below what factors helped you decide how many children to have :)!

I’ve always wanted just two. Reasons being finances, space in the house, car etc. My sanity!!

I have always wanted three, hubby wanted two. We decided if we have two of the same gender we would have one more. After we had two (both boys) I still wanted one more and hubby agreed. I don't see us having more than 3.

I’m pregnant with my third and I felt like I was done. You just know. I signed the papers to get my tubes tied and that really excites me which proves even more that my family is complete.

I just knew after I had my babies. I had an empty feeling and couldn’t get on board with my husband getting fixed. We have a 16 yr old, 12 yr old, 2 yr old, 1 yr old, and pregnant with number 5. My husband makes enough money for me to be a stay at home mom, we have the room, and I have the patience but if we weren’t in the situation we are in where we are independent and don’t rely on anyone to watch our kids or need help financially we would’ve stopped having children. 
Wanted to add that being able to be a stay at home mom shouldn’t be a requirement to decide on how many kids you want but we had discussed before having children that I would want to stay home with the babies and he agreed he wanted the same so for us that was important in deciding when to stop. This will be our last one!!!

I knew I wanted at least two kids. After my second was born I just felt done. I want to finish paying off school debt, get my doctorate, train for a half-marathon... every time I have a kid, it sets me back, and I’m ready to move forward

I don't know if it is right necessarily but I feel like something is missing... I have 4. 15 13, 2 and 10mo... thinking about no5  currently 🤣🤣🤣
