Postpartum Swelling???

I am 5 days PP and out of nowhere today my ankles swelled up really bad. My left one more than my right. When I press my finger against the swelling it does leave indents in my skin which last about 1 or 2 depending on how deep I press. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I call my OB?

This happened to me with both pregnancies. It’s all the water retention from your pregnancy dropping out of your body. You’ll sweat it out at night or through your pee.

I’d call my ob. Hypertension after birth is something they warned me about and that’s one sign. Better to call and it be nothing.

Really try to keep your feel elevated & rest. That happened to me. Only thing that helped. If it gets really bad or your in pain, doesn’t hurt to get checked

The same thing happened to me but it started maybe 2 days PP for me. I am now 11 days PP and the swelling has just started decreasing. I thought it was strange too because I had little to no swelling my entire pregnancy. I tried to keep as active as I could and elevate my foot whenever possible. I read the epsom salt foot soaks help as well.
