Bleeding?

I am 5 weeks postpartum and I’m still bleeding. Is that normal ? Did anyone else experience this? When did y’all stop bleeding ?

Yep. Normal... most people bleed for up to 6 weeks pp and some can go 8-10. I bled for almost exactly 6 weeks pp and then had a week break and it started again but I’m guessing that was AF as I wasn’t able to breastfeed.

Is it constant bleeding? Mine tapers off and I think I’m done, and then it starts up again. I’m 4 weeks postpartum. Ready for it to end and to say goodbye to pads/panty liners.

I stopped bleeding at around 6 weeks pp and then had the heaviest period I have ever had at around 7 weeks pp and bled constantly for 7 days

Yep, normal. If you're bleeding HEAVILY at 5 weeks and it has been that way since coming home maybe THAT'S concerning, but bleeding for 6-8 weeks is pretty normal. I'm just about 5 weeks pp and still have some blood, though most days it's just some pink-tinged discharge.

Yes. I think it can last for a couple more weeks and still be normal. But when it comes to this stuff if you have any doubts or concerns at all I definitely suggest just double checking with your doctor.

I’m 5 1/2 weeks PP and still going strong. It stopped for about a week and has gotten heavier so I’m wondering if it’s my first period? Not sure, but it’s definitely normal!
