Empty profiles?

So this dog showed up my front door. And i posted it online saying i found it. I plan to take it to the vet to see if it has a chip. And someone who has a fb commented saying it was their dog. Buttttt theres no profile picture the account isnt private. They havent posted anything. Would you trust it or wait until you confirm it has a chip?

As long as your fine with the dog right now I’d go check the chip and if there is no chip then kindly ask them for photos or vet records proving it’s their dog.
