LH blood test - too high?

Question

My hormonal blood results came back yesterday and my doctor told me on the phone my LH is too high for my age - I’m 37, it’s 11.6 mIU/ml. She asked me to come see her tomorrow so she can explain and talk about next steps.
When I look at the reference range though it’s 2.4 to 12.6 mIU/ml in the follicular phase, so am I not within the range? 
Anyone had this and still got pregnant? Going to see her tomorrow but I’m a bit nervous now, what does this mean?

Hi ladies, UPDATE! My progesterone came back as 15.4ng/mL. It only says suggestive for ovulation on the report. The range on it is up to 23ng/ML for the luteal phase so looks like I ovulated this month. Now I need to go back and do AMH next week, but I read that as long as you are ovulating you can get pregnant and all the others FSH, AMH are only used as reference for when you do IVF otherwise they don’t really mean much.

This is the chart of a lady with PCOS who got pregnant. I did have rocky temps like that in my last cycle, although it was just a 32-day cycle. I felt for her but she got pregnant in the end! I think the message is keep testing and checking your cm!

Please update! I'm also 37 and my LH was 11.5. My fertility doctor said it's on the higher end but wasn't concerned. He told me to keep trying for 6 months and then come see him.

I’m not a doctor, but I do have pretty severe PCOS. I am 32 years old. My blood was checked recently and my LH was 11.0 and my FSH was 4.7. My LH is always high, I hardly ever ovulate unless it’s been triggered by medicine, and I rarely get a period on my own. If I do, it’s extremely heavy. 
PCOS is not fun, but it is possible to get pregnant. Luckily, sometimes it can be as simple as a medication. :)

I think they usually use your FSH:LH ratio. It would be interesting to know what your FSH was on that blood work. All the best with your doctor...let us know x

UPDATE: the doctor who ordered the exams didn’t include AMH in the request 🤦🏼‍♀️ which means my gyn wasn’t able to give me a diagnosis for the LH/FSH imbalance! So will have to go back on CD 21 for progesterone test and beginning my next cycle (if I don’t get pregnant this month!) for the AMH. She didn’t want to worry me by saying things before she knows my AMH and progesterone. I asked if it could be PCOS and she said yes, but we need to wait for the rest of the exam. I’m not overweight, have no acne, my periods are regular and I confirmed ovulation the last 2 cycles with bbt. So guess I will have to wait until beginning August to know if I have PCOS. She said if the progesterone comes back fine we have nothing to worry about, and if it is low she will help me increase it. Crossing my fingers this isn’t PCOS or anything serious 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻 good luck to anyone reading this, we will get our BFPs soon!

If you are woman, high LH levels may mean you: Are not ovulating. If you are of childbearing age, this may mean you have a problem in your ovaries. If you are older, it may mean you have started menopause or are in perimenopause. Have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
That’s what google says- hopefully it’s not anything serious!
