When does swelling become concerning?

38 weeks, my feet have been swollen for months now but today and yesterday they’ve been swelling and hurting like crazy. Midwife said I should expect this until delivery. They just feel so stiff and achy 😢

My feet never swelled like that. I would be really concerned. A lot of my swelling came postpartum, but nothing like that.

When you push on it do indents of your fingers stay?? If so that’s called pitting Edema and you should call your on call number. Limit salt intake, elevate legs,  maybe heating pad

For me personally I've never swollen and this is our 4th. I'd for sure be on the phone with on call telling them what's happening. And I would personally tell them I'm heading in to get checked for preeclampsia. But again swelling is 100% not normal for me in pregnancy so that would be a huge red flag.

I had that with my daughter. My feet swelled so bad two weeks before I had her. They hurt and it was so uncomfortable, even lasted like that until about 3 weeks postpartum. My doctor told me it was normal but monitored my blood pressure and urine just in case but I was fine and so was my daughter
