So my mom and I talk on the phone almost every day. It's not FaceTime but we'll be on it for an hour plus most days. We're very honest with each other and I've never felt like "oh crap, she's calling again" because I know I can easily tell her I have to go or nows not a good time or even that I just don't feel like talking. It makes it very relaxed. We don't feel obligated. Sometimes she'll ignore my call and send the text that she'll call later or that she can't talk right now. I don't take it personally when she can't talk and neither does she.
