When it came to quitting my doctor recommended going cold turkey— I’m on day 4 of not touching a pump or nursing and im still in pain! How long till the engorgement goes away?

I feel a hard ball in my right breast (im taking antibiotics so I can hopefully dodge mastitis) but my doctor told me absolute no nipple stimulation or pumping at all. Is it suppose to take this long?
