Milk coming in after csection?

I had an emergency c-section with our 2nd. I drank a TON of water, ate well in the hosptial, and as crazy as it may sound, I mentally willed the mess out of my milk coming in. I think there is something to be said for staying positive, and also so important to just let baby nurse a ton in the beginning!!!! Anytime baby cries for any reason, put to the breast.

With my first, my milk took 5 days to come in and baby lost quite a bit of weight. He caught up quickly though. This time my milk came in on day 3, so much better.

No i just made sure I did as much skin to skin as possible and fed baby as much as they needed.

No, I think it came in on the 3rd day. You just have to pump/breastfeed every 2-3 hours. My baby was in the nicu so I was pumping around the clock about every 2.5 hours. Nothing much until that 3rd day, then it all came in.

Yes, it took 6-7 days I believe! I was induced and very bloated from all the drugs they gave me! I ended up supplementing at the hospital because they scared us about weight loss. It took me 6-8 weeks week to get my son off the formula and after that he was exclusively breastfeed! My husband was very supportive and I think without him I would have just given up. It was hard work with pumping every time my son would have formula! But I’m so glad I stuck with it because we had the greatest breastfeeding bond for 2.5 years!
