What would you have done? Birth delivery experience edition
So let’s say you’re about to have your baby. Due to some medical complications you are being induced after 40 weeks. Foley bulb doesn’t work since you’re not dilating & you’re in extreme pain from the pitocin. They send you in for an emergency csection because they broke your water & your baby is in distress.
You get to the OR room in a major panic. You start shaking so bad you hit your head on the OR table. They have to keep your head held down & straight as they operate on your abdominal area. During the procedure, they cut your bladder & you’re left with a foley catheter for 2 weeks.
You’re also still experiencing incontinence several months later. But there is no sign of permanent damage to your bladder. You developed anemia because of severe blood loss on top of it. Your PPD strikes increasingly fast & it’s very hard to live day to day.
