2 different results??

I have 2 questions that I hope aren’t stupid questions. This is my first time using OPK tests. I bought the clear blue digital brand that says they detect your 2 most fertile days. I took one on Wednesday, yesterday and today (Friday).

Wednesday I got a positive result. Both on the digital reader (it was a smiley face) and on the OPK strip analyzer that’s on this app. Yesterday I got a positive result on the digital reader and a negative on the analyzer on this app. Today both were negative.

The picture I’m including is the test strip from yesterday and the digital reader. From what I can find online, an OPK is negative when the test line is lighter than the control line. So if that’s the case then I agree yesterday’s was negative. But the digital reader said positive so I’m confused. What do you do when this happens? Which one do you trust? I’m trying to learn my cycle and according to the period tracker app I’ve always used I don’t ovulate until Saturday. Obviously that’s wrong because it looks like I was ovulating Wednesday according to these OPKs.

My second question is- what day did I actually ovulate? I read the instructions for the OPKs and it said they detect the 2 days BEFORE you release an egg. So if you get a positive two days in a row and then a negative, did you ovulate on the day you had a negative? Because that’s what the instructions made it sound like by saying you get positives on the two days before you ovulate. Or do you ovulate on one of the two days you get a positive? In which case I would assume it would be the second. TIA
