My mother is showing signs of covid

So she is 68 and has copd and a bad heart and I have been telling her to be careful since this started. Today she told me she was throwing up has a headache and has diarrhea. I made her call in and now she is going to the hospital cause she is showing signs of covid.

Please someone tell me is showing signs another word for positive..
