Medical Bills In Collection

I have a few bills that went to collection but I have insurance but my insurance card has the wrong birthdate and I would explain every time I would go to the ER and they said it was fine but then got letters in the mail from Debt Collections and I’ve tried multiple times trying to fix my insurance but they would always send me a new insurance card but still with the wrong birthdate and now I finally have my correct birthdate on my card and I’m trying to fix it but some Collections would take my info of my card and would contact my insurance to fix it but then others are saying they can’t do anything without a letter of eligibility......I feel so stressed about this...anyone gone through this and could give me what else I could do
