Mucus plug??!?

Question

I woke up this morning with cramps and this came out of me and there’s blood mixed with it.  Is it normal or should I call my doctor or what do I do? I’m only 21 weeks along

I would definitely contact my doctor as like others have said, you can lose your mucous plug throughout your pregnancy, but it shouldn't contain blood (yet).  Do you know your blood type?  If you are Rh- then you will likely need the rhogam shot with any bleeding as well (normally this isn't administered until 28 weeks)

While you can lose your mucus plug at any stage as it can regenerate- it doesnt usually contain blood unless you're close to term, I would definitely be contacting your doctor

Looks like mucus plug however it can regenerate. I’d let your ob know tho. However as long as your not getting contractions/ cramps or water hasn’t broke then you should be okay
