Traveling internationally with an almost one year old??
Hi Glow Family,
So my husband has not visited his family in over 5 years (they live abroad and due to several factors he has not been able to go back home since moving to the states). He finally has everything aligned to go visit his Mom but due to COVID we are wary of doing so. I told him to go ahead but me and LO will not be going because I don’t know how I would live with myself if God forbid something happens to our almost one year old. He says I’m overreacting and it’s not fair that he finally has a chance to go see his Mom and wants Mom to see baby etc (His dad passed away and he was unable to attend his funeral and Mom lives alone so he is feeling some type of way). He is saying we can just wear masks and be vigilant. He also says that my family here aren’t rest social distancing so what’s the issue? My family is social distancing with the exception of my brother in law who has to work. Other than that no one goes anywhere except grocery shopping and out and walks. I would consider it if I knew we would go and stay home but I know his family will all want to come and visit to see him and baby and I know they are not social distancing, or practicing any of the other safety protocols. Am I being selfish? I told him he can and should go ahead and visit his Mom if he sees this as the only chance he’s got and me and baby can go in a few months once things are on high alert. I know us as adults can wear a masks and practice cautious hygiene but my baby can’t wear a mask. So not sure how to protect him from all the visiting family members. What would you do?
