Question

My friend is pregnant after trying for 8 months. She said a coworker told her to have sex when you get the positive opk in the morning and 16 hours later & it worked for her. Why is that? 
I am currently TTC & we had sex everyday in the fertile window last cycle and I’m not pregnant.
The morning sex & 16 hours later isn’t a normal possibility for my husband and I’s schedule.

Honestly, it’s luck of the draw and that sucks. I read something once that said the chance of getting pregnant, even when you are actively trying, is like 15%.  I don’t know how accurate that percentage was, but I do know just having sex in the right day isn’t always enough.  The sperm and egg have to meet and that has to happen just right for it to take.

I know how you feel we BD so much and still didn’t end up pregnant this month. AF showed up two days early yesterday.

It just depends we only had sex 4 days before o the day before and day of and got pregnant I honestly feel like some people have too much sex and interrupt the whole process but that’s just me some people get pregnant regardless lol

Every day is too much it can lower the quality. 
Every second day.leading up to ovulation and an extra one on ovulation.

Are you asking what is an opk?
I suggest reading up on it.
With opk you can probably maximize the chance you have, but it is not a guaranteed.
Opk measures LH hormone on body. In order to ovulate (release an egg), you need a certain level of LH. And to get pregnant you need to have sperm meeting with wgf within 24 hours of ovulation. So basically opk is a test, that tells you, your LH hormone is high enough to triggers ovulation soon. And that is the time to have sex if you want to get pregnant.
If you don't use opk, then ovulation usually happens in the middle of cycle about two weeks before next period.
