I’ve never heard it for doing your hair but I’ve heard you’re not supposed to put your arms over your head too often because it can cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the baby
I have no clue if there’s any scientific facts to prove this but that’s what I heard 
I put my hair up about 1,000,012 times a day.
I’ve had two babies with a third on the way my first son did come with a double wrapped umbilical cord but there is absolutely no way to prove that it came from lifting my hands over my head￼
