Hyperemesis...when will it end?

I’m nearly 10 weeks pregnant and for the last month I’ve been suffering with horrendous hyperemesis. I’m being sick so many times a day and spend all day so nauseous. I’m on my 3rd different type of anti sickness tablet which is doing something but barely enough to take the edge off. I had an anti sickness injection at hospital and that didnt do much either. I just need some hope, I’ve been in bed for a month straight, I’m off work sick and I only leave my bed to be sick or use the toilet. When will it end? Please tell me it will ease from 12 weeks? I’ve wanted this for so many years since I MC, its just so hard

With HG they need to have you on 2-3 medications at once, not one at a time. I would be looking for a doctor that has more knowledge on the condition. If you have a Facebook, look up HG groups. There is one on Facebook with over 20,000 members that suffer from HG and the admin of the group has TONS of info on medications that work. Sometimes, only steroids work for HG. Make sure to look that group up and look at their “pinned” items. They have a lot of useful info.

It may not go away. But, I hope it does.  I have found that taking promethazine and zofran together work much better than either on their own. Nothing makes me feel good like I have normally felt in past pregnancies...but it makes it tolerable.

I had it really terrible this pregnancy.  Im currently 15 weeks and it has just started easing up where I dont have to take the medicine everyday. It honestly didn't start letting up until about 12-13 weeks. And by then I had a pretty good idea of what I could eat, what would sort of make me feel better, etc. I dont eat after 8 pm and I try to constantly snack on carb heavy foods. Also I use aromatherapy and listen to hypnobirthing playlists which has had the biggest impact. Best of luck i know it sucks :/

I know that it’s not the answer that you want to hear but it might not ease up at all through your pregnancy ... everyone is different but hyperemesis is typically not like normal morning sickness and doesn’t relent at 12 weeks. I’m on cyclizine for mine (was throughout my whole first pregnancy too). Hope you find something that works soon, I know it can be rough 💛
