When to buy things?

I am 11 weeks today. When did you start buying baby items? When did you start your registry?

I bought a onesie and blankie the day I found out to give to my bf when I surprised him and since then I’ve bought a few other little things along with got my amazon gift box. I move into my new apartment in September and I’ll be  15-20 weeks during that time so we’re going to just set up the baby stuff while we’re moving in!

I bought a few things especially if they were on sale. I was excited. Started putting things on the registry bit by bit probably around 18weeks. You don’t have to wait for a certain time. Do things a little at a time.

20+ weeks we really started to get and do things but we did. Buy a couple outfits a little early just cause we were exticed and whatnot but mostly once we knew that certain risks were much lower. However you can start buying things whenever but I’d save the bigger things for when your a little further along so you can really do your research and look to see if any sales are gonna happen etc

I am a checklist person and like to get things done early. (Plus we are having twins) So we bought and set up the cribs in the nursery at around 14 weeks and went from there. Refurbished an old dresser, emptied the room to only baby stuff, and put the glider in the nursery. This way when people gave us a gift or hammy downs, I knew exactly where to put it and didn’t start up a pile to later go through. 
I also started our registry around 12 weeks and slowly added stuff to it as I though of it.
