Ok so I don’t want this to turn into a faith debate but an old friend had the courage to come out to me over FB messenger yesterday. I have always thought the was gay so it didn’t come as a shock. She’s moved away so I haven’t seen her in a while but we are both Christians and active in our churches. Was this an ok way to respond? I really would like someone from the LGBTQ+ group to give me their input. I’ve never had someone come out to me before and I really REALLY want to make sure what I said was ok. It broke my heart into pieces that she has held in to this for so long.Please no hateful comments. Thank you!
