When are you telling your employer you’re pregnant?

Hi ladies! When are you telling your employer you are pregnant? Mostly, I am wondering due to covid...are you saying something earlier? I wasn’t planning on it, but my friend mentioned that maybe I should tell my boss sooner, in case there are extra precautions that need to be taken. So I figured I would ask you (the experts)!! Thank you! 🙃

Whenever. I told mine at 13 weeks because I was interviewing for a new position. I was offered the position and told my new manager “Here are my signed acceptance  papers for the new position but I have something I need to tell you first.” And she was like “Okay...” all while giving me the look like I was going to give her the worst news ever. I told her “I’m 13 weeks pregnant.” She got so excited for me! 
I could understand why anyone would want to give an earlier heads up especially with COVID. Tell them when you are comfortable.

I told mine way earlier than I wanted to, mostly bc I needed to work from home due to a possible covid exposure in my office area. They were going to do staggered days in office (meaning I'd be there one day, supervisor another to where there was limited people there) and I wanted exposure to just not be even in the realm of possibility especially with being pregnant. 
Long story short, I told them at like 5 weeks

I would tell them sooner just so all logistics/HR can be handled correctly. Maybe mid/end of 2nd trimester.

I told mine asap. I work at a college, being around students from all over is risky so im being reassigned to a less-traffic building and I needed to know if the chemicals I use are safe.

Kinda depends on what you do and your level of being comfortable.. i needed to super early bc i work with dementia combative patients and those who tested pos for TB, hep and all that stuff

Currently working from home and told mine sooner than planned on just because she was talking about people going back to office and I wasn’t sure if I should be going back to the office because of covid and being pregnant
