Last night I started feeling quite poorly, it was boiling hot and I just felt drained. My fiance was asleep and my 12 year old was also fast asleep in her bed. My son is 2 years old and he doesn't have a bottle at bed time any more and hasn't for about 3 months he just has juice. Anyway he started tossing and turning in his cot (he is still in our room until we move house) then in the dark I hear a little voice say "mummy make me a bottle please"...I felt totally drained it was around 2am in the morning I didn't want to move but because he doesn't normally ask for one I thought aww bless him he must really want one to half wake up and ask so off I plodded downstairs. As I got half way down the smell of gas nearly knocked me clean out it was so strong so I went to investigate. The light was already on so luckily I didn't have to switch anything on and when I went over to the cooker the knob was turned and gas was coming out. I switched it off and opened the windows and doors for a while then I went and told my fiance about it. He said "Oh I could smell gas earlier so I switched the oven off" but what he doesn't know is the oven is electric and the hob is gas so they are different switches so the gas had been leaking out for about 4 or 5 hours which explains why I had a massive headache. The crazy thing is if my son hadn't of woke up and asked for a bottle I would of never gone down and we could of all died. All it would of took is for my daughter to wake up and flick the bathroom light on and we would of been blasted to bits and all have headstones saying rest in pieces and I wasn't ready for that 😆 I just thought I would share this with you all I know you already know but please make sure everything is turned off especially those with little children like mine who can reach things like this and turn them on.

Thank you all so much for your kind words we went to the hospital the day after just to get checked over and all of us where fine. I am just so thankful that he decided he wanted a bottle that night or who knows what would have happened. Thanks for all the kind messages 🥰
