Who believes in a break in a relationship? Been with my fella over 4 years and now he wants a break and been acting like a proper c*nt to me.

I feel like "taking a break" is for teenagers, or maybe people dating less than a year. But 4 years? Nah. Id just break up.

I don’t believe in relationship breaks. If you can’t work out your issues with communication then the relationship isn’t meant to be. Relationships should not have breaks. You’re either in it for the long haul or you’re not.

It worked for me but only because we both wanted that space to fix our own individual problems.. it wasn't an excuse to see other people.. it never even crossed our minds.

I don't believe in a break. Not at all. Last time a guy pulled that he was seeing someone else as soon as i said ok. My side of the bed not even cold. I believe we work on the issues together and if youre not sure you want me, I dont want you.

I think taking a day or two to calm, or think is maybe needed sometimes. But I’m meaning literally a day or two just to think what you need to say or work on, any longer than that is too long to me.

Ngl, I asked for a break with my ex because I met someone else and couldn’t stop thinking about him. The break just turned into a break up. (The ex treated me terribly though and new guy does not!)

Breaks are weird. I've always saw them as basically a chance for the significant others to mess around and see what else is out there and see if they find someone better. And if they don't they can go back to their original partner.
