Fetal Doppler—worth it?

I’m terrified of having another miscarriage. I’m 19 weeks now and haven’t seen my baby since 12 weeks. My anataomy scan is next week. I haven’t felt any kicking or anything. I know that could mean my placenta is anterior but I’m dying to know everything is ok. Is a doppler worth it

Dopplers can cause more anxiety if you have trouble finding the heartbeat.

At 19w it’s really not worth the purchase now. You’ll have your anatomy scan so soon and you’ll start feel more and more movement every week.

At 19 weeks it shouldn’t be overly difficult to find baby’s heartbeat. I find mine super reassuring. I had a full term stillbirth in December, and am now 18 weeks with our rainbow baby, the only thing that gives me any comfort is the doppler and being able to check in on him whenever I need to

As long as you have no bleeding, cramps or anything baby is fine. you won’t really feel intense movement until 21+ now you may not be in toon enough to know what to pay attention too
