Cold sore on mom

So I’m pretty sure I have a cold sore on my lip that is in development. It hasn’t burst and as soon as I noticed it I’ve been using cold sore medication. I’m keeping my face away from my newborn as best I can but I’m worried it will spread to her. What precautions can I take?
