Other doctors?

My doctors office let’s you see other doctors just in case ur regular doctor is on call when u go into labor...
I had asked today if I need to see the other doctors in the practice and my doctor said that it’s up to me. I want him to deliver of course but would u? It really isn’t that big of a deal to me.

Personally I didn't like seeing all of the doctors with my first. I always felt rushed and never had a connection with any of them, i literally didn't even know any of their names so it didn't really matter to me that the person who delivered for me looked slightly familiar. I would rather get comfortable with one doctor throughout the whole pregnancy, and maybe have someone else with me for a few hours for delivery. But its up to you!

I never did. I always met with my same doctor (my favorite). Meeting a doctor once for 10 minutes isn't going to impact my thoughts on feekihg comfortablr with them if they deliver my baby. Id much rather consistently see the doctor I know and trust. It could have been the hospitals doctor delivering my baby and I wouldnt have cared i just wanted her out lol

The office I go to automatically sets you up with a few appointments with different doctors just so you’ve at least met the dr before labor if it’s not your dr on call that day. My dr didn’t deliver my baby and I got lucky enough to have seen the dr that did twice in the office. I actually saw him at my last appt because mine was at a delivery.

I don’t really care, I’ll see any doctor I need to. I saw a couple with my first- like 3?... In the end, none of the drs I saw were able to do my emergency c section because of course- emergency- had to get him out asap... And my second was a planned c section of course so I still saw anyone I needed to but my dr did deliver that time 😊

I only see one my office doesn't do the whole every provider thing but I'm well aware that a different dr might deliver my baby. That's how it was with my first. Only saw one and then he scheduled his vacation for 4 weeks before my due date so that he would be back when I delivered. Went into labor two days after he left 😂 had to have another Dr deliver her.

You should be seeing other doctors or midwives. You’ll get whoever is on call the day you go into labor. It’d be nice to meet with everyone in the practice if you can.

At my practice you see all the providers when you are pregnant. Whoever is on call that day will deliver your baby, you don't get to pick. 😩
