Peripheral Neuropathy
I've had a constant on and off of peripheral neuropathy since June. It feels like an electric current buzzing under my skin. It's like pins and needles all over, mostly in my arms, legs, hands, and feet, but also like a numb feeling (not completely) that goes into my face and head. It's like my skin all over feels incredibly desensitized, even my teeth. And then these really intense brain fogs with dizziness will occur too from time to time when the numbness is in my face. I've had bloodwork done and most things came back normal except my C-protein levels were mildly elevated. They should be below 8, and mine were 8. So they had me get an MRI (1.5T) of my brain and spine which came back clear except a very mild disc desiccation of the C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, and C6-7. My appointment with a neurologist is in 2 weeks, but until then, I'm going crazy trying to figure out what is going on. I'm a 32 year old breastfeeding vegetarian, and they checked my B12, which was in a normal range, but on the lower side, but they said not low enough to be causing this, it was 458. They also said my thyroid was fine. I've also been dealing with anxiety disorder for 4 years, not on medication yet, I'm waiting till next year when I finish breastfeeding my baby to start taking medicine. I had my third baby in May. My doctor said though that anxiety shouldn't cause the face numbness, and definitely shouldn't cause it to last this long consistently. Anyway, while I wait for my appointment, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with anything similar, the not knowing is terrible.
