Should I..?

So me and my boyfriend are thinking about having sex. We have been on and off for about 9 months now but I really like him and he really likes me. We first met and we’re gonna go out but then someone else (my ex) asked me out and I said yes and things kinda fell apart from there. After my ex and I broke up I started dating the guy I’m currently dating. I wasn’t in a great place at this time and I was leaving for Spain so right before I left, we broke up again and he began dating this other girl. They broke up a couple months ago and we’ve been dating for about a month now. I’m not a virgin but he is, and I lost my v card to my ex. That kinda pulled me and my current boyfriend apart, but we are all good right now. Sorry this is really confusing but to sum it up I really like this guy I’m dating but I’m not sure if sex would change things in our relationship again. What should I do?
