First Yeast Infection

So this is my first yeast infection. It was itchy like two or three days before I found out. But I thought I just had a little cut or tear in my near/inside my vagina since it kind of burned too. I am 14 and not sexually active, so I wasn’t too worried. I told my mom, she helped me and gave me monistat which has helped it so much. I do masturbate and use a vibrating device. Did the vibrating device cause it? Have I not been cleaning it properly? I usually just wash it off with soap and water before I use it.

My question is:

Is everything ok? When will it go away? Did I do anything wrong? How frequently do these happen? What did it come from?

I’m worried so any responses would really help!
