My grandpa passed away
Just a few days ago on the 16th. I wasn't really close with him, but he was still my bubba. He had Parkinson's for I think at least 10 years. For the past few years I would see him once every single month. I still loved him and it made me smile when he smile.
Today my parents came home from the coast helping my bubbas wife and stepdaughter pack up some stuff. My parents came home with couple bags of stuff that belonged to him. I got 4 things. One was a triangle pillow with the American flag (he was in the airforce). And the other two things he got from Germany so I took those too. Our last name is German, it means strong or brave I think.

The last one is my favorite. My bubba was very thin

I got his sweatpants! Honestly when I put them on and saw how well they fit I teared up a bit. I thought it felt nice to have a possession of his, but a piece of his clothing? My heart feels so happy ❤ Knowing how often he wore them and knowing now that they're mine is somehow comforting
