Possible miscarriage

So I'm a mom of 2 and recently found out I'm expecting again. My husband is military and just left us for a few months and I found out today I am more than likely miscarrying. I've not been through this before and Friday will confirm whether or not I am. Doctor says if I am he wants to scheudle a D&C. I start work on Friday, my husband is gone and my 2 kids are 4 and 2.5. I'm alone with no help. What should I expect after the D&C, assuming that's what needs to happen? He barely speaks English so he didn't really answer my questions. Do I need a ride? Is there weight restrictions or do I need time off of work? Getting a 2nd opinion isn't an option unfortunately, I'm in a foreign country and this is who I was assigned to. I'm completely devastating and have nowhere to turn to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
