Has anybody here travelled by airplane with their March baby?

I’m thinking of traveling with my soon to be 6-month old in a month. I need to go see my family, we would only be at the airport and planes (1 stop) and then back to quarantine at my parents house. 
I would love to hear other moms thoughts and advice during this pandemic. 
I plan to take all the necessary precautions, masks on dad and me and baby not touching ANYTHING.

We did 2 flights in the last 3 weeks and i felt fine. My parents hadnt met my little guy yet. 
Biggest thing-be prepared and have a game plan. Think ahead. Burp cloth close and ready. Diaper changing kit put together so you don’t have to bring the whole bag into the smallest bathroom ever designed. Also be calm, take a breath. It will be fine.
Checked the car seat and stroller for free and put my LO in the baby carrier on my Chest. Highly recommend this. Didn’t even have to take him out for TSA and walked through the medal detectors with him still on me. I changed his diaper right before the flight (3 hr flight and prayed for no poop on the plane) and didn’t worry about trying to Change him on the flight. If you have to change your LO ask the flight attendant for recommendations on best practice with that bathroom.. i bet they have tricks. I Put him in footie PJs brought an extra pair just in case. Brought a large purse and his diaper bag. 
Normal diaper bag items, ring toys, lovey, teethes, attach them to your LO with a paci clip to keep them off the floor. I also brought an extra swaddle and a hat in case it was a cold flight. I used a big baby blanket to drape across myself so baby didn’t have to touch the seatbelt or arm rest but I also did wipe down all touchable surfaces (I brought my own disinfectant wipes but you can ask the flight attendant and they have some). I also brought my cooper pearl nursing cover and i nursed on take off and landing..super discrete people didn’t even notice.. he didn’t make a peep the whole flight.  I also gave gas drops before we left for the airport, just in case.

I literally took my March baby on her first flight yesterday ✈️ she did awesome. I had a 7 am flight, got up at 4 am (she happened to wake just after) I fed her, changed her then finished packing the last min stuff. 
Got to the airport, had no issues with check in and security. 
I did not bring her in her car seat, I chose to carry her in my arms.
Got to do early boarding due to having babe with me.
Once on plane, got myself set up to be comfortable and have my diaper bag in reach.
By this point, baby girl was getting cranky cause she wanted to nap. As take off was happening I held her to my chest and she fell asleep. She slept for about an hour and a half.
Once she woke, I fed her and bought out some of her fav toys that I put on pacifier clips so that if she dropped them they wouldn’t hit the floor.
I also had my iPad with me that has Disney + on it so I put her fav movie on, Monsters University lol 😆 
Now, normally you’d do a diaper change in there somewhere as needed. I didn’t have a long flight, only 3 hours so I put a fresh diaper on before and after the flight and she was fine.
In my diaper bag I brought all the usual stuff: diapers, bum cream, wipes, bottles, formula pre-measured out (I didn’t want to breastfeed on the plane) face and hand wipes, her blanket, snacks for me, bottled water, her toys, iPad, my chargers for devices, extra sleeper, hand sanitizer, lip balm
I checked my suitcase and picked it up when I landed. 
For the most part my baby is a happy girl, but she can be very cranky when it’s coming up to nap time. She did so well on her first flight. We’ll see how she is when we go home lol

Just feed when plane takes off and try to let them nap . Ask for help if need it. I flew when my baby was 2.5mo old and she was a tad fussy only cuz I tried to make her wait to eat till we took off the ground. Then she slept till we arrived

I flew when my boy was 2 months from Alaska to California. We had one layover. 
Just make sure to bring your own sanitizer and use it religiously. Don’t expect everyone to wear mask because they don’t wear them properly or at all. A lot of people take them off during the flight. 😷

No we haven’t because of the pandemic. Too worried to expose him at this point. Granted, we haven’t needed to do that.

Nope couldn’t even get a passport for our baby to return to our home country soooo we had to drive for 3 days, quarantine for 2 weeks then drive another week. It sucked.
