TTC @ age 36
Hi Everyone! I’m new to glow and still trying to navigate through this app. 😊
A little bit about me. I’m 36yro, married for 8yrs and together for 18yrs. I’m a mother of three and desperate for baby #4, we would like to complete our family by the time I turn 38yrs. I know this might seem selfish to most of you ttc for the first time but we love kids, we always new we would have a large family. I have 4 siblings and my husband has 13 siblings, we focused on our careers and have finally settled down.
We decided as a family to add one more bundle of joy if god willing 🙏🏼. I was so excited to know my kids were on onboard with our decision. I was on birth control (IUD 5yrs x2) for a total of 9yrs, I had it removed in January 2020 and immediately ttc. It’s been 8 months with no luck. Is this normal? I’ve had 2 periods since removal of IUD (Feb & June 2020) and wondering if this has anything to do with unable to conceive. I’ve started this month using easy@home ovulation kit and had a positive test 10 days ago yay, I tested today with a response of negative 😔 again. Ok I’ll be honest I’ve been testing everyday since. It’s getting harder for me to continue to be positive, I’m not sure if this is meant to be. I often ask myself did I wait to long? Does my age have anything to do with it? Is it harder to conceive with irregular periods? If so how long do you think it can take? 1yr or more? So many questions.
Thank you all for listening. God bless! I wish everyone the best of luck! ❤️
