Hi, I have been diagnosed with a BU after A miscarriage early this year. I’m currently 5.2 weeks pregnant. I had spotting yesterday. Stopped today 🤞

When I contacted the early pregnancy unit they told me about those with BU are prone to bleeding through pregnancy and to rest as it was too early to scan.

I was advised to go to GP to check for UTI- which I had.

I asked the GP about an appointment for me and the hubby to come and learn more about BU and possible support to keep pregnant. I have read a lot about the use of medication.

He stated That until im 12 weeks pregnant all he can offer is a leaflet on what a BU is. When I asked about medication to support pregnancy he said there would be no option to refer me to a Ob until I had three miscarriages.

Has anyone been able to get any health support without needing to have 3 miscarriages? Just have so many questions and feel to just deal with the scary world of the internet.

He did say he would write to the OB to see if they have any other advice. So let’s hope.

Be good to hear of this is normal for those in UK or if I need to book N appointment with another doc.
