Can you get the copper iud even if you're on your period?, i just had some unprotected sex lastnigt but just got my period this morning, i might aswell get the copper iud since its an emergency thing and I could use it as a form or birthcontrol

Some doctors actually prefer you get it during your period since your cervix is a little open at that time. It supposedly makes insertion easier. I'm planning on getting one soon and thats what I was told

Contact your gyno. My office had to order it and get it approved by my insurance and a whole lot of BS before they would insert it, ended up taking 2 months. Planned Parenthood or something similar might be able to help quicker.
